Meet Our Physicians

 


 

Dr. Seun Adelugba-Akande

Dr. Adelugba-Akande was born in SouthWest Nigeria where she had her early education. She moved to South Africa in her teens, then proceeded to the University of the Western Cape in CapeTown for her Bachelors degree in Medical Bioscience. Her medical degree was at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.
She has about 7 years of experience is Family Medicine including a 2 year post graduate training program.
Her practice includes all ages and she also provides emergency room and hospital coverage.
She is married with two beautiful children.


 

Dr. Erin Calhoun   

Dr. Calhoun was born in Saskatchewan and grew up near the rural community of Eatonia.  After high school she attended the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Physiology as well as her Doctor of Medicine.  She married  locally and moved to Alberta to complete the remainder of her training through the University of Alberta Rural Family Medicine Residency Program in Red Deer.

 She enjoys rural life and lives on a farm with her husband who owns and operates a custom feedlot.  Together they have 2 sons and 1 daughter who keep them busy! 

 Dr. Calhoun enjoys all areas of family practice but has a special interest in Obstetrics.  She is accepting new maternity patients for prenatal, delivery & early postpartum care.            

 


 

Dr. Anish Chari    

Dr. Chari was born in San Diego in the United States. He moved to Alberta in 1993 and finished secondary school in Calgary. He completed his Biology degree and Doctor of Medicine at the University of Alberta. He completed an additional year of Anesthesia training in Edmonton.

 Dr. Chari is married to Adrionne & together they have a son (Oscar) & daughter (Clara).

 Dr. Chari is willing to follow maternity patients up to 32 weeks and then he transfers care to a doctor who can provide deliveries.

 


 

 

Dr. Bank Jaiyesimi   

 Dr. Bankole Jaiyesimi, aka “Dr. Jay” was born in IjebuIgbo, Ogunstate, Nigeria.  He attended local high school in Ijebu Igbo before proceeding to the Ogunstate University in Nigeria to pursue his MB CHB degree.  He did 3 years of Residency in internal medicine before heading to Witwatersrand University in Johannesburg (South Africa) for his masters in family medicine.  He obtained a diploma in family practice in HIV medicine from the U.K.

 Dr. Jay is blessed with his lovely family Candice and their two boys. He also has two girls from his previous relationship.  Dr. Jay was born rural & he enjoys the rural community practice with special interest in chronic disease and geriatrics.

 

 

 


                                  

 Dr. Adina McBain        

 

Dr. McBain was born in Hanna and raised in Oyen.  She loves the rural lifestyle and is excited to be raising her family in the Town of Three Hills with her wonderful husband!  They have two daughters and two sons.

 Her medical degree was completed at the University of Calgary.  She then moved to Red Deer for 2 years of residency thru the University of Alberta.

Since 2013, Dr. McBain has been working locally.  She has a general practice with special interests in medical administration and the education of medical students/residents.

 


 

 Dr. Luke Savage

Dr Savage was born and raised in Alberta. He did his medical training and residency in Edmonton before starting practice in Three Hills in 2010. Following in the Hippocratic tradition, his practice focuses on low risk obstetrics, and palliative care, and everything in between - from conception to natural death. Dr. Savage serves on the board of directors for the Big Country Primary Care Network, and nationally on Canadian Physicians for Life. He was on the CPSA Council from 2017-2020. He is a clinical associate professor for both the University of Calgary and the University of Alberta, and in 2018, he earned the Clinical Teaching Award from resident doctors of Alberta. Dr. Savage enjoys cycling and being outdoors, time with his wife and 4 school-aged children, and connecting with community through faith and sports events.
